I have in the header column headings for the body text

table, so that I won't have to insert column headings on

each page, but I can't get the header column heading

table to mesh with the body text table. . . there is a

space (a small row) which I can't get rid of by

manipulating the top or bottom margin boundary, as Help

recommends for "Adjust the amount of space that appears

between the document text and the header or footer."

I want no space between header and body text so that the

tables mesh.

Thanks for help

    • Presumably you have a good reason for not using the "Heading rows repeat"

feature. The problem you're experiencing is caused by the empty paragraph

that Word insists on having after a table. You can format this very small (1

pt, with 1 pt or less line spacing) or as Hidden text, but you can't delete

it. It's easier to see what you're dealing with if you display nonprinting

      characters (Ctrl+*).
