Word 2003 - Autoshape callouts with more than one arrow?

I have a callout (speech balloon) that needs to refer to two items on the

page. Is there anyway to make a callout have more than one "pointy things"

so that it can refer to two items on the page?

    • I don't think you can add more than one "pointy thing," but you might try

      layering one callout in front of another (leaving the behind one blank).

    • And then maybe layering a line or small box the same colour as the callouts

      on top to obscure the (probably unwanted) part of the top callout's border

      that displays over the lower callout's "pointy thing"?
